In 647AE at the age of 18 Adie created true Artificial Intelligence. While he was breaking age old laws his military backing helped him avoid the long arm of the law. His prototype, SID, was a failure, a mockery of a person, it could not grow, it could not evolve. It existed only as a simulation. SEL, the follow up device, however, succeeded. Her brain could grow, evolve, she could learn new skills and new ideals. Adie would revere her as one of his finest creations, and most useful devices, and she rarely left his his side for her entire life. She saved Adie's life twice, as she was trained as a medic and engineer to a) prove she was capable of learning and b) there was a war going on. She saved Adie's life twice before she died, on both occasions by healing a potentially lethal plasma weapon discharge.
Tried CG, did it work folks?
Edit::: Interesting that this is on my front page and has almost 50 views but so far only three people have commented. Comment or die you bastards!
This is really nice. Adie's pretty good but SEL herself is what really stands out.
I think my favourite bit is her hair, it really is shaded like real hair, with shadows and highlights all in the right places. It has good shape too, very natural looking. The clothes are looking really nice too but they've always been something you've been good at I think. Both her hair and skin really are shaded very well, not too bold but also not too subtle.
I think the reason that SEL stands out a little more than Adie in this picture is because she's smaller, and I've always found from my own artwork compared to my old sprite work that it really is much easier to make something impressive on a smaller scale. A good example of this here is the stuff I mentioned earlier, like her hair, and also the shape of her arm and hand.
I do like Adie too though, he reminds me of Otacon from Metal Gear Solid in this picture. The one thing I'm wondering is what he'd look like with slightly finer lineart, although I know big, thick lineart is your style.

I completely agree with aflowerchild. Adie does look similar to Otacon. The level of detail on SEL is amazing and it's nice to get a better idea of just how tiny she really is in comparison to Adie. I'd have to say this CG attempt worked out pretty well.
